Do you have any other characters in game?: No

Character Name: Rakia Amarga
Canon: Kamen Rider Gavv
Canon Point: Post-series
Age: Never really specified but somewhere in his mid 20s. Granutes seem to age at a similar rate to humans.
History: Rider Wiki link is here.
Is this character an AU? What type?: N/A

Personality: Rakia is simultaneously very laid-back and motivated enough to do whatever it takes depending on the circumstances.

He's got quite a bit of self-control. You can goad him into a fight if you know all the dead younger brother trauma buttons to push, but Rakia's got enough of a grip on things to not stay goaded for long. He doesn't have a lot of patience for hot-blooded foolishness (that's Hanto's job and he is constantly trying Rakia's patience) and he'd rather think about a situation before rushing into it. Once he's committed to a course of action, he commits, and it's still a calculated thing. When he decides to get revenge for Comel's death, it's a calculated move to take the Stomach Company down from the inside. He plays the part he needs to play, maneuvering himself until they take him to use as the experimental "Lage-9" and just hand him the power he'd need to really disrupt their operations. (Did he intend for it to play out quite like that? No. Is he willing to work with what he's given? Of course.) He can put up with a little "Sure, boss!" and "Right away, sir!" and that sort of brown-nosing as long as he's got his eye on the prize.

If left to his own devices, Rakia would rather nap or relax. Granute physiology is pretty varied, and he's a jellyfish. He would love to go with the flow and not have to worry about things, but life doesn't work that way. After everything he's been through, he's not super into letting innocent bystanders get hurt or in letting the strong step on the weak. He's learned to move away from revenge as a motivator and would instead rather protect. It's been a hard lesson to learn. The lesson has a bit of a body count attached to it.

He feels some amount of guilt over the damage his toxins have caused; humans have died essentially at his hand (drugged, turned into Anthropresses, and shipped off to be made into Dark Confections) before he realized that they were, in fact, worth caring about. Nylev of the Stomach Company also weaponized his toxin to try to control large groups of humans, which made him feel some kind of horrible way--he hadn't thought of that potential side effect of anyone taking samples during his modification surgery. It's important to note that he does not wallow in said guilt; he uses it to motivate himself to do something about it. He can't bring back the people who died or go back in time and stop Nylev from doing anything with his toxins, but he can prevent these things from happening going forward.

Rakia tends to declare that everything he doesn't like or finds mildly annoying "sucks," but despite his complaining, he will, in fact, go do the thing. He, a rather stoic, disinterested individual, is the sort who gets dragged into things by happier, perkier friends. He is the one linefacing while Shouma and Sachika happily drag him out into the human world to get better acquainted with it. He would never admit it, but he is pretty sure he'd die for them and he's got some sort of probably budding romance with Sachika in particular.

Powers and Abilities: Rakia is a Granute who has been "modified" (i.e. received a bit of mad-science-style surgery) to pose as a human. It's not a perfect human disguise by any stretch of the imagination; if he is in human form and lifts up his shirt, he's got a gaping mouth on his stomach. Inserting and removing a Mimic Key into this mouth will allow him to shift between human and his normal Granute form. Part of this modification process also granted him the ability to extend a freakishly long tongue from that abdominal mouth turn humans into Anthropresses, a sort of compressed form that the Stomach Company used to move large quantities of humans into their factories. (Think of an acrylic photo stand wrapped in a Fruit by the Foot. That is pretty much what an Anthropress looks like.) Breaking an Anthropress will kill the human trapped within it, and cutting the Fruit By the Foot wrapper around it will release the human. The human won't have much idea of what happened and will be confused but unharmed. It's pretty explicitly shown to work only on humans; at one point, another Granute mistakes Ra

Rakia's Granute form also comes with an ability that's unusual even among Granutes. He is a very jellyfish-esque Granute, and he can generate tentacles from his hands. These tentacles can deliver a powerful neurotoxin that fills its victims with a sense of bliss, rendering them incapable of fighting back. He doesn't relish using the toxin, but he will use the tentacles themselves as needed.

Rakia can make use of the Vrastum Gear and a pudding or jelly Gochizo in order to transform into Kamen Rider Vram. There is an entirely too extensive list of Vram's forms and abilities here on the Rider Wiki because they do love their forms and abilities. Short version: right now he can only access A La Mode Mode, which is his final form and more defensively-oriented.

Inventory: Mimic Key, Vrastum Gear, Gavvphone, and Puddinte Gochizo. The Gochizo qualifies as a companion animal but cannot talk. It serves as the thing that powers Rakia's ability to turn into Kamen Rider Vram and is capable of interfacing with the Gavvphone to show Rakia things it has seen.

Sample: TDM shenanigans here!

When presented with a choice, is the character more likely to stick with tried and true methods? Or make something new up on the fly? He's the sort of lazy person who will pick the option that involves the least amount of actual effort on his part...unless he is sufficiently motivated and then he'll go with that. He wants to do what is efficient.

What is more important to your character, preserving the past or forging a future? Forging a future. His past is deeply important to him, but dwelling there isn't doing anyone any favors. Plus, in moving forward, he can atone for the sins of his past.

How does your character influence their own story? What about the stories of others? Rakia has no tolerance for miscommunications. He's direct enough about things that he singlehandedly nipped several potential multiple episode long arcs hinging on a single bit of mistaken identity or communication in the bud. When the Bitter Gavvs start showing up being destructive and looking very much like Shouma, he's immediately able to identify them as Not Shouma because he is a Granute and picks up on details a Granute would notice, and he shares this information with Hanto--not out of kindness or a desire to be allies, but because Hanto's incorrect read of the situation is annoying him. If Hanto starts flipping out about something, fine, but he at least needs to flip out for the correct reasons.

Are you alright with your character’s canon being used as a Recommended Reading?: Sure! Watching it outside Japan requires jumping through so many hoops I am sorry
